    For my blog this week, I choose the song "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" by Willie Nelson. This is a very iconic song in the country music genre and one that I really enjoy. It is a very sad song but is surprisingly simple. It tells the story of love dying as the singer leaves his love forever. This song has a story in it that really reminds me of a movie. I feel like this song could easily be used in a breakup scene in a movie and would fit really well. This song is for sure one of my favorite songs that I have listened to during this class and is one that will definitely be added to my sad times' playlist. I personally really like Willie Nelson singing this song. I always enjoy Willie Nelson but I feel that this song fits his voice and style really well. I also really liked the kind of simple guitar music in the background that doesn't distract from the overall message of the song. I think that this song is a classic for a reason and will probably continue to be just that.
